Every Patient Is Unique

A lot of people worry that when coming to see a surgeon, they will get pushed into surgery.  My philosophy is that the time to do surgery is when all other options have been exhausted.  There is no one solution that is right for everyone, and so I will take the time to hear your struggles and goals and we will establish a plan together.

If surgery is the right option for you, then I use a variety of different technologies to perform your joint replacement including robotics, navigation, and fluoroscopic navigation.  I use the technology and implant that I feel is best for each patient, instead of taking a cookie cutter approach for all.

Local and National Leadership and Research

I take pride in being not only a surgeon, but also a leader in the field of orthopaedic surgery both nationally and locally, as well a researcher.  I also often give talks nationally on a variety of topics in hip and knee replacement.  Current and past titles include

-Vice President, Connecticut Orthopaedic Society

-American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Health Policy Fellow

-AAHKS Young Arthroplasty Group Committee Chair

-American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Program Committee Member
